Symptoms

In Enterprise Manager (EM) 12.1.0.5.0 Cloud Console, the monitored target is shown as Up (green arrow).
Subsequently changing the threshold of a Metric generates this console message:

Error
Unable to communicate with the Agent. The agent may be down.
