Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 12c 12.2.1.3.0 with patches applied:
Patch 28220491: OID BUNDLE PATCH 12.2.1.3.0(ID:180621.0517)
Patch 26649795: Unable to view OID component in EM console

After a start of an OID Instance then status in the NodeManager and WebLogic (WLS) AdminServer is RUNNING.

After a while or a few minutes, the status of OID targets is DOWN (red arrow) in Enterprise Manager (EM) Fusion Middleware (FMW) Control console, although the instances are up and running.

In addition, NodeManager and AdminServer are not always showing the correct status for the OID instances.

For example, a few minutes after instances are running, NodeManager statuses are down:

However the instances are up and running and ldap commands work.

Executing "nmStart(serverName='oid1',serverType='OID')" results in a RUNNING status again for the instance, but again only temporarily and later it is reported down again.
