EM 13C : Opatch Upgrade To 13.9.3.3.0 Fails : Could not execute /tmp/OraInstall<timestam>PM/install.sh (Doc ID 2633797.1)

Symptoms

 Upgrade of OPatch to version 13.9.3.3.0 fails with the following error :

[oracle@hostname OPatch]$$ORACLE_HOME/oracle_common/jdk/bin/java -jar /OPatch/6880880/opatch_generic.jar -silent oracle_home=$ORACLE_HOME -invPtrLoc /Oracle_Home/app/oraInventory/oraInst.loc

Launcher log file is /tmp/OraInstall<timestamp>/launcher<timestamp>.log.

Extracting the installer . . . . Done

Checking if CPU speed is above 300 MHz. Actual 2593.993 MHz Passed

Checking swap space: must be greater than 512 MB. Actual 4095 MB Passed

Checking if this platform requires a 64-bit JVM. Actual 64 Passed (64-bit not required)
