EM13c: How to Separate Warning>Clear Alerts and Critical>Clear Alerts (Doc ID 2647626.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 16, 2022

Applies to:

Enterprise Manager Base Platform - Version 13.1.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

To Separate Warning>Clear Alerts and Critical>Clear Alerts

Example scenario:

You have one Incident Rule configured to only send OEM Critical Alerts to your Service Desk. In the Incident Rule, it is set to capture 'All events of type Metric Alert'.

Under 'Advanced Selection Options', you have the Severity checkbox selected, with the 'In' operator (the only option under Severity), and Critical and Clear are selected (but not Warning).

Separately, another Incident Rule sends Warning alerts to your DBA team.

However, the Service Desk is getting all Clear alerts for both Critical and Warning incidents.

You want a way to stop the Clear alerts for Warnings from going to the Service Desk.
