Symptoms

AWR reports has shown up huge(unusual) cluster waits. Even a simple insert was taking hours together. Other symptoms include Job system not responding and loader back offs continued to exist.

Underlying issue turned out to be blocks being lost over the interconnect and that could cause severe cluster waits.
