In Enterprise Manager (EM) Cloud Control, Auto discovery is used to discover the targets on a host automatically. Multiple issues were reported due to this,

Case 1:

EM discover duplicate targets like database instance, listener, etc (adding _N at the end) for targets which already exists.
The targets were discovered via the "Auto Discovery Jobs" and we could see them under the page Setup --> Add Targets --> Auto Discovery Results.

Case 2:

PDB deployment is failing during Adds Pluggable Database service step because there are unpromoted targets available on Agent side which are part
of the RAC DB.

Case 3:

After changing the monitoring password at database, EM monitoring not allowing to change Password in the Monitoring Configuration. Fails with following error,

Case 4:

Users who had OPERATOR_TARGET can no longer change SYS password in the console.
