Symptoms

In Enterprise Manager 13c, Gold Image Update Fails with below error when custom inventory location is used.

 /tmp/OraInstall<timestamp>/launcher<timestamp>.log

  <timestamp> INFO [1] com.oracle.cie.nextgen.launcher.LogUtils - Launcher log file is /tmp/OraInstall<timestamp>/launcher<timestamp>.log.
  <timestamp> SEVERE [1] com.oracle.cie.nextgen.launcher.Utils - Invalid Central Inventory location "<custom invnentory location>" (cannot read/execute).
  <timestamp> SEVERE [1] com.oracle.cie.nextgen.launcher.Launcher - Invalid Central Inventory location "<custom invnentory location>" (cannot read/execute).
  <timestamp> INFO [1] com.oracle.cie.nextgen.launcher.LogUtils - The log is located here: /tmp/OraInstall<timestamp>/launcher<timestamp>.log.
