EM 13c: emctl status oms command generates Error "java.io.IOException: Input/output error" (Doc ID 2871446.1)

Symptoms

In a multi OMS Setup, executing "emctl status oms" or "emctl status oms -details" command generates the following error though the status shows as OMS UP and running.
