EM 13c : SCRATCHPATH additional parameter not being honoured when updating an agent using a Gold Image (Doc ID 2873316.1)

Symptoms

In a scenario of not having the sufficient /tmp space on Agent machine we need to use the additional parameter SCRATCHPATH to avoid /tmp running out of space

Using SCRATCHPATH as an additional parameter is not picked by the installer as it still uses /tmp as the temporary location to generate install file and thus failing

Agent Gold Image update job fails at Pushing Scripts From OMS Step as shown below.
