EM 13c: 'Emctl control agent runCollection' Results in 'RunCollection: Exception Occurred: oracle.sysman.gcagent.task.TaskPreExecuteCheckException: invalid CollectionItem' For Metric Extension (Doc ID 2878904.1)

Symptoms

The Metric Extension (ME) is added to a monitoring template. This template is applied on targets as as part of managing administration groups. But the ME deployment through monitoring template was failed without any warnings. Trying to access the ME from target database home page results in below error.

While trying to test the ME, the required database is not allowed to be added to test targets with error "Advanced properties of <Target DB> does not match with the advanced properties of metric extension".
