Symptoms

Oracle Enterprise Manager for Siebel is not able to Pre Discover the Siebel Servers during Pre Check and the following Warning occurs.

WARNING: The Targets on the following host will not be Discovered.

Siebel Server on host X will not be discovered, since host is not monitored in Enterprise Manager.


 

STEPS
1. Install Siebel Enterprise.
2. Install Enterprise Manager for Siebel.
3. Start the Siebel Enterprise.
4. Start the Enterprise Manager for Siebel Agent.
5. Start the Enterprise Manager Pre Check Process.
6. Start the Enterprise Manager Check Process.
7. Observe the Enterprise Manager Pre Check of the Siebel Servers has a Warning.
