Symptoms

In Enterprise Manager (EM) Cloud Control, ASM cluster and instances targets are shown as DOWN in OEM console

Test Connection on Monitoring Configuration page gives the following error:

sqlplus asmsnmp@"(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(Host=<hostname<)(Port=<portno>))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=+ASM2)))" as sysdba

SQL*Plus: Release 19.0.0.0.0 - Production on Tue Jul 2 17:35:24 2024
