Email notification has been enabled for Clear / Critical / Warning Severity states, for Metrics:
Generic Alert Log Error
Generic Alert Log Error Status
A Clear email notification is received for the Generic Alert Log Error Status metric as shown below:
Target Type=Database Instance
Metric=Generic Alert Log Error Status
Timestamp=25/06/2008 12:19:21 PDT
Message=0 distinct types of ORA- errors have been found in the alert log.
Notification Rule Name=Database Availability and Critical States
Notification Rule Owner=SYSMAN
The Message indicates: 0 distinct types of ORA- errors have been found in the alert log.
However, checking in EM Grid Control shows that the warning and/or critical alerts that have been
raised for the Generic Alert Log Error metric have still not been cleared manually.
