Installation of Patch set Removes all Additonal Admin Users and Roles (Doc ID 733911.1)

Symptoms

The installation of patch set 10.1.3.3.0 or 10.1.3.4 removes admin users and roles created in addition to the default users and roles on the setup page of Application Server Control.

The following sequence of actions does reproduce the problem:

  1. Install Oracle AS 10.1.3.0.0

  2. Create additional users or roles on the setup page of AS Control (e.g. user "myadmin")
  3. Install patchset 10.1.3.4 on top of the OracleAS 10.1.3.0.0 installation

  4. The setup page of AS Control does not show the additional users and roles anymore that had been there in the Oracle AS 10.1.3.0.0 installation.
