'Your username and/or password are invalid' Shows When Logging Into Dbconsole as Sys User (Doc ID 877030.1)

Symptoms

When logging into the dbconsole using sys user with sysdba privillege, the following error message shows:

Error:
Your username and/or password are invalid.


However, the connection to that database instance with sys user via SQL*Plus is successful.
Furthermore, logging into  the dbconsole with other user, such as sysman or system without sysdba privilege, is also successful.
