Symptoms
Cannot manually add RAC Database on second node of RAC cluster from the Grid Console:
Failed to retrieve value for parameter " orcl2.service_names": Failed to convert spfile
+Data/crs/spfileorcl.ora to pfile using sqlplus: Invalid argument 0. The output of sqlplus
is "SQLPLUS: Release 10.2.0.3.0- Production on Wed Sep 9 10:34:38 2009 copyright (c) 1982, 2006,
Oracle. All Rights Reserved. Error: ORA-12560: TNS: protocol adapter error.
The <AGENT_HOME>/<nodename>/sysman/log/emagent.trc shows:
