Symptoms

Adding a new MSAD/LDAP User Directory causes the starting of Shared Services to take a long time.

1. Add a new MSAD/LDAP User Directory using the Shared Services User Management Console.

2. Stop and start Shared Services. Starting takes a long time, i.e. up to 15 minutes.

3. The CSS.XML (v9x)/CSSConfig (v11+) now contains references to the new MSAD/LDAP User Directory.

4. Cannot launch the SS User Management Console. "Page cannot be displayed" error.
