Smartview is Slow or Unable To Retrieve Data From an Essbase Server Via Analytic Provider Services

Delays when retrieving data using SmartView.
Also seeing the following errors:
"OLAP_error (1290002):Network Error : Unable to connect to [<server>:32768]. The client timed out waiting to connect to Essbase server using TCP/IP. Make sure that the client machine has sufficient number of ports available."
"Analytic Server Error:1042006, Network Error : Unable to connect to [essbase_hostname:port] The client timeout waiting to connect to the Essbase Agent using TCP/IP"
"#Invalid member 'xxxx' for dimension 'xxxx' " When Refreshing Sheet
The port number here is the port the Application runs on and may therefore be from the range between 32768 and 33768 (if running on default Essbase ports).
