Cannot Start Financial Reporting (FR) Service (Doc ID 1169946.1)

You have a new install of Reporting and Analysis 11.1.2 in a Linux x86-64 environment.  You have most of the Hyperion/EPM products installed on the server.  All of the services have started except for the Financial Reporting service.  You have tried to start it individually, and you have done a re-start of all services.  The service has not started. 

When you review MIDDLEWARE_HOME/user_projects/epmsystem1/diagnostics/logs/FinancialReporting.log, you find the following message:

"Authentication denied: Boot identity not valid; The user name and/or password from the boot identity file (boot.properties) is not valid"
