Reporting and Analysis Framework(RAF) Service and the Essbase Administration Service(EAS) Do Not Start (Doc ID 1294637.1)

Symptoms

Both the "Reporting and Analysis Framework" service and the Essbase Administration Service do not start. The Following error message is being returned when starting these services from the Windows service panel:

The <SERVICE_NAME> service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.

No error message is being returned when starting these components from a Windows command prompt (e.g. using startRaFramework.bat). No log file is getting generated (only three of them when starting the component from a Windows command prompt). The below error message is being returned in the Windows Event logs when starting the component from the Windows services panel:

The description for Event ID 0 from source <PROCESS_NAME> cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed or your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
