After Updating Relational Database Repository Information For Planning Error: "Failed to initialize the application 'planning_datasource." (Doc ID 1316085.1)

Symptoms

When users attempt to navigate to applications via Workspace, the applications list is empty and navigation to Planning Classic Administration results in Error "404 Not Found...The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI."

The problem occurred after updating Planning relational database Oracle RAC repository information via EPM System Configurator and updating the "planning_datasource" JDBC connection information in the Weblogic Administration Server console.

The Planning weblogic JVM log displays the attempt to connect to the old jdbc relational repository information rather than the updated JDBC URL value and the following errors are displayed:

"Failed to initialize the application 'planning_datasource' due to error weblogic.application.ModuleException"

"Caused By: weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourceSystemException:
Could not connect to 'oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver'."

"The returned message is: ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied"
