When logging into Workspace, users cannot see any of the options that they were provisioned, including HFM Applications, and the Explorer tab. Financial Reporting objects were also missing.
Looking at the UserInfo report, we could see that the user ("admin" in this case) had only six roles attached to the ID even though it was provisioned for all Administrator access (across all applications). See page 81 of the Installation and Configuration Troubleshooting Guide for more details:
The System Configurator had been re-run, specifically to re-register the Foundation/Workspace component, following the transfer of the SQL Server instance to a new machine.
