Purpose

The purpose of this article is to explain how to run a Windows Process Monitor trace and decipher the results to help with ODI problems related to the HFMDriver.dll when using the HFM KMs.

This document is intended to assist troubleshooting process, when variations of the following Java stack trace appear:

com.hyperion.odi.common.ODIHAppException: Error occurred while loading driver

The same troubleshooting procedure is equally valid in ODI 10g and 11g, but there are differences in where the HFMDriver.dll is located. Please see <Document 1379286.1> for the specifics of where the HFMDriver.dll is located in the respective releases.
