Symptoms
The following error when trying to select a Financial Management (HFM) application from the datasource Connection Manager in EPM Workspace:
Error connecting to database connection : Class not registered.
The issue occurs only if Financial Reporting Web application and Hyperion Financial Management component are installed on seperate servers.
Additionally attempts to connect to an HFM application from Financial Reporting Studio fail with error:
Failed to connect to server.
