Unable to Delete Corrupted ASO Application (Doc ID 1540820.1)

When attempting to delete a corrupted ASO database, the following error is reported by Essbase Administration Services (EAS) or MaxL:

Error: 1054003: Error 1270005 loading application: [date]
Fatal error: invalid page encountered in aggregate storage file at location
