You have suffered a corruption of your LDAP.  You were unable to sign in to OBIEE 11g.  So you renamed the LDAP folder as LDAP-bak and recovered it. You can log into WebLogic Server console and Enterprise manager.  All BI service are running and you can see the OBIEE log in screen. But you are unable to log into OBIEE with the existing user name and password.

Looking in the bi_server-diagnostics.log file, you see the following error:

[bi_server1] [ERROR] [WSM-00008] [oracle.wsm.resources.security] [tid: [ACTIVE].ExecuteThread: '1' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] [userId: <anonymous>] [ecid: 0000JzrTbTi1Bh_pPOt1id1HuLMM000002,0:52] [WSM_POLICY_NAME: oracle/wss_username_token_service_policy] [WEBSERVICE_PORT.name: RpcPort] [APP: OracleRTD#11.1.1] [J2EE_MODULE.name: ws] [WEBSERVICE.name: RpcService] [J2EE_APP.name: OracleRTD_11.1.1] Web service authentication failed.[[
