OBIEE 11g: Groups Do Not Appear in WebLogic Server Console after Configuring External LDAP with Groups in Database (Doc ID 1603055.1)

Symptoms

  1. Followed the steps as given in Section 3.4.4 - Configuring LDAP as the Authentication Provider and Storing Groups in a Database, configured OBIEE 11g with an external LDAP and groups from a database. 
  2. After completing the steps, unable to see the groups in WebLogic Server console.

The following errors can be seen in AdminServer.log:

<Error> <Console> <AdminServer> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <USERNAME> <> <ECID> <1384529061098> <BEA-240003> <Console encountered the following error oracle.bi.security.provider.wls.authentication.dbms.SQLGroupProviderDelegateException: Error listing groups: *
Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: Connection pool not usable.

and AdminServer-diagnostic.log:
