OBIEE 11g: Groups Do Not Appear in WebLogic Server Console after Configuring External LDAP with Groups in Database

Symptoms
- Followed the steps as given in Section 3.4.4 - Configuring LDAP as the Authentication Provider and Storing Groups in a Database, configured OBIEE 11g with an external LDAP and groups from a database.
- After completing the steps, unable to see the groups in WebLogic Server console.
The following errors can be seen in AdminServer.log:

Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: Connection pool not usable.
