Exalytics Summary Advisor Script Converts Oracle INTEGER Data Type To TimesTen BINARY_DOUBLE Data Type (Doc ID 1604236.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 18, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Exalytics Software - Version 1.0.0.0.0 and later
Business Intelligence Server Enterprise Edition - Version 11.1.1.6.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) 11g with Exalytics and TimesTen, a column in an Oracle database source is defined as an Integer data type in the source database and in the RPD.

When running the Oracle BI Summary Advisor and referencing this data source, the resultant script file creates the column in Times Ten as BINARY DOUBLE and not as INTEGER as expected.
