Symptoms
BI Apps 7.9.6.3 Task 'SDE_ORA_Stage_GLJournals_Derive' failed with the following error :-
ERROR 06/09/2012 12:54:41 node01_shl90098 WRITER_1_*_1 WRT_8229 Database errors occurred:
ORA-12899: value too large for column "DW SCHEMA"."W_ORA_GL_COGS_GL_F_TMP"."GL_JE_BATCHES_NAME" (actual: 81, maximum: 80)
- Field GL_JE_BATCHES_NAME is defined as a varchar(100) in EBS
- The same Field is varchar(80) in <DW SCHEMA>
Can we increase the Field Length of this Column in future releases to match the EBS size, so if we have more than 80 characters in the source data we do not get this ETL failure?
