Attempts To Cancel Reports Fail When The Data Source is SQL Server

Attempts to cancel a report fail.
After clicking on the 'Cancel' link, the processing icon continues to circle but never completes. The session hangs, and the user must log out, and then log back in, to continue working in OBIEE.
The report status never displays as 'canceled'. The session continues to run until the system is bounced, with a status of 'canceling', as seen under Administration/Manage Sessions.
