Inability To Load or Clear a Customised Views of BI Interactive Dashboard from EPM Workspace (Doc ID 2034382.1)

Symptoms

OBIEE 11.1.1.7.150120 suite is integrated with EPM Workspace 11.1.2.3.500 .

In this environment, when a user attempt to apply saved customization or clear a customization of a BI dashboard from Workspace on Internet Explorer (IE) 9 or 10, it fails with below error:


An HTTP error occurred. Contact your system administrator.

On fiddler trace shows the following GET calls:

GET /workspace/saw.dll?Dashboard&PortalPath=xxxxxx=my HTTP/1.1
GET /workspace/saw.dll?Dashboard&SelectionPath=xxxxxx=yyyyyy=8h5jdpeum1t26tm3&ViewState=17aqktino4pg5kqnmrvdeo6eam HTTP/1.1

That should be
GET /analytics/saw.dll?Dashboard&PortalPath=xxxx=yyyy=my HTTP/1.1
GET /analytics/saw.dll?Dashboard&SelectionPath=xxxx=yyyyy=zzzzz=aaaaa=bbbb HTTP/1.1


The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

On Browser IE9 or IE10

  1. Log into workspace
  2. Open BI Interactive Dashboard
  3. Go to Edit and select "Apply Saved Customization" or "Clear Customization"

The issue occurred when the users use IE9 or IE10 (with recommended settings in <Note 820892.1> too) and only from Workspace.

With IE8 and from BI Analytics page the operations works fine and no errors occur.
