OBIA 11g: Full ODI Load Hangs In SILOS_SIL_PAYROLLRUNBALANCEDETAILFACT with Errors ODI-1260 and ODI-1228 (Doc ID 2071565.1)

Symptoms

A FULL load is taking too long. The ODI Load Plan seems to be hanging in the session SESS_18737500_SILOS_SIL_PAYROLLRUNBALANCEDETAILFACT.  It ran for more than 3 hours and not a single record got populated. We stopped it manually.

Full ODI Load Hangs In SILOS_SIL_PAYROLLRUNBALANCEDETAILFACT with the following error:

ODI-1260: Session Task Integration (SIL_PayrollRunBalanceDetailFact.W_PAY_RUN_BAL_DTL_F) stopped (Immediate) by user BIAPPADMIN.
ODI-1228: Task SIL_PayrollRunBalanceDetailFact.W_PAY_RUN_BAL_DTL_F (Integration) fails on the target ORACLE connection BIAPPS_DW.
Caused By: java.sql.SQLRecoverableException: IO Error: Socket read timed out
