ESSBASE: Unloading Applications Errors "ERROR - 1042017 - Network Error: Timed Out Before Receiving All Data" and "GLIBC Detected Invalid Pointer" (Doc ID 2084839.1)

Symptoms

During nightly Essbase process that unloads an application, the following error is logged in the application log, though the application appears to unload successfully:

MAXL>  alter system unload application {appname};

  ERROR - 1042017 - Network error: Timed out before receiving all data.
  ERROR - 1042017 - Network error: Timed out before receiving all data.

The Essbase.log has the following error:

Changes

Error occurs post upgrade from 11.1.2.1 to 11.1.2.3. In earlier version 11.1.2.1, there was no issue unloading applications.
