EPMA Deployment and LCM export fails with System.IO.IOException: The file exists (Doc ID 2253938.1)

Symptoms

After doing metadata changes, when doing EPMA deployment, validation is successful, but deployment keeps failing with below error message:

[ApplicationExportJob] ERROR SVR_ERR_EXPORT_FILE_ERROR:An error was encountered during export: The file exists. Hyperion.DimensionServer.Interface.Exceptions.ApplicationExportException: An error was encountered during export: The file exists. ---> System.IO.IOException: The file exists


Even LCM export for the application also fails with same error message.
