Purpose
The purpose of this document is to describe the steps needed to configure Hyperion Planning (HP) as a data source for OBIEE 12c.
HP communicates with the Java Host process. The Java Host should be running on the OBIEE server in order to import a HP application.
The following document will show you how to configure the OBIEE / HP integration, import a HP application into the RPD, create a Subject Area and access it using Analytics.
Please, check the certification matrix to make sure you are attempting the integration using certified versions
This document assumes EPM HP is already installed and configured on a separate server rather than the OBIEE server. The topology of this setup and the versions used are as follows:
Machine 1: OBIEE 12.2.1.2.0 - Windows Server
Machine 2: EPM HP 11.1.2.4.0 - Windows Server
