In Essbase Active-Passive Cluster set-up, during failover of Active Node, the Passive Node is not Starting (Doc ID 2413449.1)

Symptoms

Active/Passive cluster for Essbase is not working as expected when the active node goes down, Essbase on the passive node is not starting.  The status of the nodes when running the command 'opmnctl status' shows the active node is Alive and the passive node as Down.


When stopping the active node using the command 'opmnctl stopproc ias-component=EssbaseCluster-1' the server 1 status changes to 'Down'.  The status of the passive node is still 'Down', it does not start.
