Last updated on NOVEMBER 27, 2023

Applies to:

Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition - Version 11.1.1.9.180417 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Moving between servers, during this process generated OBIEE Web Catalog reports before and after the VM server move.

Noticed that the last modified column date has changed for some rows.

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
The total objects remain unchanged, but the last modified date has changed for 20-30% of the rows.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Timestamps should remain the same and there should be no changes.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / STEPS:
-------------------------------------------
1.  Use the RSYNC tool to move the WebCatalog between server VMs.

2.  Generate the reports using web catalog manager.  Login to Catalog Manager, go to Tools, Create Report.  Select required columns and run the report.

3.  The issue seen in this case is some of the rows have a modified date from when RSYNC was ran.

Not all rows were changed, only some, about 20-30%.

Changes

Moving from one VM server to another.
