How To Grant Task Flow Access To A Shared Folder In Which To Place It's Output File (Doc ID 2460178.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 22, 2018

Applies to:

Hyperion Financial Management - Version 11.1.2.4.206 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

For a task flow I need to place the extract data output file on shared folder on a server. The shared folder on the server currently has "Everyone" listed as a user with full control rights. This is too wide open for security reasons and we need to tighten security around this. We have removed "Everyone" and added my ID, the installation account ID, and the active directory authentication ID, but the task flow will not output the file to that server location. As soon as we put "Everyone" back in with full control rights, the task flow began working again.

What user or group needs to be added so that we don't have to use EVERYONE.
