OBIEE 12c: In a Legacy External Table Authentication Environment, Set Permissions Dialog Does Not List External Table Users (Doc ID 2470566.1)

Symptoms

OBIEE environment configured with Legacy External Table Authentication, analytics -> set permissions dialog does not list External Table users.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. OBIEE configured with Legacy External Table Authentication.
  2. Login to Analytics.
  3. Go to catalog -> File or report properties -> More -> Permissions -> Add users/roles -> Search for users stored in the external table.
  4. External table users doesn't exists. The list only shows the users from WLS console.

And cannot set the permissions at external table user level.
