Symptoms

Application Server Deployment fails in EPM 11.1.2.4 with error "java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: WLST was not initialized" after upgrading EPM Java version to 7

The EPM deployment uses the wlst (The WebLogic Scripting Tool) to run the deployment

The EPM configtool.log has he following errors

Caused by: java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: WLST was not initialized, check logs for details

at com.hyperion.hit.tool.deploy.wlst.WlstConsole.exec(WlstConsole.java:253)

at com.hyperion.hit.tool.deploy.ant.model.Domain.initRuntime(Domain.java:398)
at com.hyperion.hit.tool.deploy.ant.model.Domain.openDomain(Domain.java:268)
at com.hyperion.hit.tool.deploy.ant.wrappers.DomainWrapper.openDomain(DomainWrapper.java:19)

 EPM java version was upgraded to JDK 7 version using the following KB article. The changes were done using Option 2 in the KB article
