Symptoms

Planning service would crash across one of the planning servers in a distributed environment. This behavior was noticed when users would use data form ABC.    The below error message was found in the Planning_WebApp.log:

[APP: PLANNING#11.1.2.0] [SRC_CLASS: com.hyperion.planning.olap.HspFormGrid] [SRC_METHOD: recalculate] Formula evaluation on data form <ABC> failed at <8, 24> possibly due to circular references: Sum([D],[E],[F],[G],[H],[I],[J],[K],[L],[M],[N],[O],[P],[Q],[R],[S],[T],[U],[V],[W],[X])

Changes

Formula is changed or updated in one of columns in the data form ABC.
