Financial Reporting (FR) Export To MS Word Or MS PowerPoint AS An Image Using Smart View Or EPM Workspace Yields An Empty Page (Doc ID 2709845.1)

Symptoms

While trying to export an FR report to MS Word or MS PowerPoint as an image either by using a Smart View or through the EPM workspace, it finishes with an empty page having no image crated. While trying to achieve the same export but with selecting document or data table, it works as expected. The following error can be found in Financial Reporting server logs:
