Cannot Create Database Connection For Financial Reports or run a Financial Report (Doc ID 2731839.1)

Symptoms


When trying to create a FR database connection the following error is thrown.

8001: The database connection could not be found: [UUID]
 
When trying to run a FR report the following error is thrown.

oracle.epm.repository.RepositoryException: java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-00904: "DBMS_LOB"."SUBSTR": invalid identifier

 

This error will be in the FRLogging.log.

javax.jcr.PathNotFoundException: HRInternalFolder
com.hyperion.reporting.util.HyperionReportException: The object requested:
[HRInternalFolder] does not exist in the repository

 

Changes

The ORA-00904 error in conjunction with dbms_lob indicates that the execute privilege has not been granted to "PUBLIC" or has been revoked.
