Symptoms

The HSF Server service does not show in the Windows services manager after installation. Only the Strategic Finance Java web app is showing and started.

When attempting to connect to the HSF Client or HSF Administrator, the following error occurs:

Error: "There was a failure with Hyperion® Shared Services Registry. Please see your Administrator."

When starting the services from a windows command promptin -debug mode the following error persists:

There was a failure with Hyperion® Shared Services Registry, contact your Strategic Finance representative for assistance.

Changes

 New installation of Hyperion Strategic Finance.  HSF is installed on a Windows box.  Foundation Shared Services and Web Logic are installed on a Linux box.
