Symptoms


When attempting to start the Essbase Server, the following error occurs:

The procedure entity point adNew could not be located in the dynamic link library: essasoutils.dll


ERROR 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

ERROR - 103 - Unexpected Essbase error 1030818.
ERROR - 1042006 - Network error [10061]: Failed to connect to [localhost:1423].
ERROR - 1030818 - The client timed out waiting to connect to Essbase Agent. Check your network connections, host and port values, and that Essbase is started..
