Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) Unable to Create or Open Application after New Installation, Error: "EPMHFM-66076: Server is unavailable, connection could not be established" (Doc ID 2837253.1)

Symptoms

Unable to create new HFM application or open migrated applications.

After starting  "Oracle Hyperion Financial Management - Java Server (epmsystemX)" service, check HFM ODL log oracle-epm-fm-hsx-server.log, last entry in log will look like:

 

[FM] [NOTIFICATION] [] [oracle.FM.HSX.SERVER.oracle.epm.fm.common.BaseSeviceManager] [tid: 1] [ecid: ] [SRC_CLASS: oracle.epm.fm.common.BaseSeviceManager] [SRC_METHOD: isServerPortAvailable]  Is Port :9091 is avialable ? true

 

When service successfully starts, last line should show:

 

[FM] [NOTIFICATION] [] [oracle.FM.HSX.SERVER.oracle.epm.fm.common.BaseSeviceManager] [tid: 25] [ecid:] [SRC_CLASS: oracle.epm.fm.common.BaseSeviceManager] [SRC_METHOD: run] Service HSX_SERVER_NAME started successfully.

 

Changes

 New installation of 11.2.4 or higher
