Symptoms
Open repository and Change database type from 'Oracle 11g' to 'Oracle 12c on Exadata'. Save it and you will find that the initialization block might have been rewritten.
Example Before change:
'select <string> from dual'
Example After change:
'select distinct ':USER' from <table>'
Changes
Upgraded from BIEE 11g to 12.2.1.4. (Database 11g to 19c)
