OBIEE 12.2.1.3 Agents Stop Working After A Day Or Two (Doc ID 2961922.1)

Symptoms

Scheduled agents will only run for a day or two before they stop working. There are no errors in the error logs and it doesn't appear to have any affect on the analysis or dashboards. When this happens, you cannot edit an agent. It just hangs when trying to open it. Restarting just the BI Schedulers component will get it running again for another day or two before it hangs again. This is occurring in all environments. 

Installing a fresh out of the box version of OBIEE without any adjustments still experiences the same behavior.
