Symptoms
Foundation services failing to start after upgrade to 11.2.8.
When starting through the Windows Services panel, the service appears to start, then stops with the notice that the service has shut down.
The HyS9FoundationServices_[EPM_Instance]-sysout.log and HyS9FoundationServices_[EPM_Instance]-syserr.log under [MIDDLEWARE_HOME]\user_projects\[EPM_Instance]\diagnostics\logs\services do not contain messages from the time frame of the most recent startup, indicating that the logs were not deleted/recreated, which normally happens as part of the service startup process.
Changes
Upgrade to EPM 11.2.8. Upgrade and redeployment of WebLogic services completed successfully.
