The Exportarchive.sh Command Hangs On Exporting An OBIEE 12c Instance To A BAR File (Doc ID 3039035.1)

Symptoms

The <DOMAIN_HOME>/bitools/bin/exportarchive.sh command is run to export the metadata from an OBIEE 12.2.1.4 instance.  But after left running for many hours, it appears to be "stuck" or "hung" as it neither fails nor succeeds.

From review of the <DOMAIN_HOME>/bilogs/metadata/exportBAR_(timestamp)/logs, it is observed that the RPD_Offline_FSS_Content_Plugin.log was the last one updated and the last entries in the file were:   

INFO: Customization XML exist, apply and generate the BAR RPD
INFO: Executing Command: [<DOMAIN_HOME>/bitools/bin/biserverxmlexec.sh, ...]
INFO: Writer thread started
INFO: Writing first input
